Michael Cirlos

Michael Cirlos founded Humans of San Antonio, a photojournalism project inspired by Humans of New York, to celebrate the visual story of downtown San Antonio. He holds a degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and he is the recipient of the Awesome SA Community Award. He is the photographer for Centro San Antonio and works with the San Antonio Department of Arts and Culture and other downtown organizations. Humans of San Antonio is his first book.

Ed Conroy

Ed Conroy is Director of Development for Southwest School of Art, and formerly an arts writer and columnist for the San Antonio Express-News.  He is the author of “Report on ‘Communion’:  An independent investigation of and commentary on Whitley Strieber’s ‘Communion’”  (Avon, 1990; Morrow, 1989), to be published in Spanish this year by Reediciones Anomalas.  He edited Steven Hassan’s “Combatting Cult Mind Control” (1988) for Inner Traditions International’s Park Street Press imprint.   He reviews books regularly for the Express-News and Houston Chronicle
