Angela Cervantes - The San Antonio Book Festival
Angela Cervantes

Angela Cervantes is the award-winning author of several middle-grade fiction novels. Her first novel, Gaby, Lost and Found, was named Best Youth Chapter book by the International Latino Book Awards and a Bank Street College of Education’s Best Books of 2014. Angela’s second middle grade novel, Allie, First At Last, received a starred-review from Kirkus and was a finalist for Florida’s Sunshine State Young Readers Award. Angela also wrote the junior novelization of Disney Pixar’s animated film, Coco, published by Random House. Angela’s latest novel, Me, Frida and the Secret of the Peacock Ring, is her first middle-grade mystery. Presently, Angela is working on her next book to be released by Scholastic in 2019.

Diana López

Diana López is the author of the adult novella, Sofia’s Saints, and the middle grade novels, Confetti GirlChokeAsk My Mood Ring How I Feel, and Nothing Up My Sleeve. Diana lives in Victoria, Texas where she teaches creative writing at the University of Houston-Victoria. She also assists with the magazine Huizache and works as the managing director of CentroVictoria, an organization that promotes Latino literature and art.

Mary Guerrero Milligan has been a children’s and young adult librarian for over forty years. In addition to writing book reviews and essays focusing on multicultural literature, her short stories have been published in multiple anthologies including the recently published Literary San Antonio.
