Geektown for Teens

Prepare yourself. Geektown is going to be AWESOME.

Are you a teenager planning on being at the San Antonio Book Festival on April 6? Or are you the parent of teenagers who love to read? Or a teacher with teenage students who devour books?

Well, take it from us — you are going to love GEEKTOWN, the Book Festival’s cool and exclusive area where young adult readers can spend the day. Check it out!

The Authors

In the H-E-B Coates Chapel at the Southwest School of Art and at Whataburger Geektown HQ, we featured author presentations and panels discussing interesting topics in YA literature with some of the bestselling authors in YA lit. Following the authors’ presentations, teens had the opportunity to purchase a book from Barnes & Noble and then meet the author to get their book signed!

Take a look at our 2018 young adult lineup:

Holly Black (The Cruel Prince)
Daniel Chacon (The Cholo Tree)
Claudia Gray (Defy the Worlds)
Naomi Shihab Nye (Voices in the Air)
Jason Reynolds (For Every One)
Benjamin Alire Sáenz (The Inexplicable Logic of My Life)
Erika L. Sánchez (I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter)
Neal Shusterman (Thunderhead)
Martin Wilson (We Now Return to Regular Life)
